Odo Apartment
Pechers'kyi district, Kyiv, Ukraine, 2022
51.87 sq.m.
Odo apartment is a little place full of natural materials and cozy mood. This design doesn't speak loudly, but have a strong personality created for one wallflower person with a good taste to details and carefully selected furniture that have unique narratives.

This apartment is located in Kyiv, but we wanted to create a modern place that looks like a small cave house near by a calm river and huge forest. Something between old fashioned Ukrainian house full of natural textures and minimalistic American The Farnsworth House designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Therefore we used natural oak texture combined with warm colored stone floor and wall covering that looks like a light clay. We demolished old walls and create one big space divided by wooden construction which forms three different areas: recreation, dining and hall. Small bathroom made in marble has strong silhouette that differs from the main space but perfectly fit the main goal.
This concept born during the war in our lovely country — Ukraine. Our studio do not know how to fight but we know how to help world identify Ukraine like an independent country full of creativity and strong ideas.
